Step 1: The Website
Go to this link. This will bring you to a logon page. Once you’re there, type in your email and password. If you’re not yet registered, this also substitutes as the beginning of your registration. Once you’ve typed in your email and password, the registration button will be highlighted and you can click through to the next step.
Step 2: Verify Your Email
Once you’ve moved on to this step, you will be taken to a landing page that reminds you to verify your email. Your status will remain unverified until you do so.
Log in to your email account, open the email from hackathon@trustsquare.ch (make sure to check your spam folder if it’s not there!) and click to confirm your email registration. Another window will open and will take you to your dashboard that confirms your verification.
Step 3: Getting to Your Application
On the email verification confirmation page, there is a button that says “Go to Your Dashboard.” Click through and you will see that your application status is incomplete. To rectify this, click “Finish Your Application.” This will take you to the application form.
Step 4: Filling Out Your Application
Fill out all the questions on the application form. Required answers are marked with a red asterix. Fill out your name, gender, occupation, employment status, and age.
Then, tell us in a few sentences why you’d like to participate in the #SBHACK19. Tell us why you’re passionate about hacking, what your motivation for participating is, and why you’d be a great participant. This will help in the acceptance of your application.
Afterwards, scroll down and click two Verticals that you’d like to participate in. These categories range from Agriculture & Food to Supply Chain. Once you’ve picked two, another list will appear that will allow you to pick from a variety of Skills. Pick the ones that you most plan to use during the event.
Then, tell us your personal public repository. Please provide at least one link to a repository that you use (e.g. Github, Gitlab, or Bitbucket). If you don’t have a repository, you can just add any valid URL that you think we should check during the selection process.
Finally, fill in your social media links if you have them and accept the terms and conditions.
Press Submit. Your application has been sent! You will also receive a confirmation email.
You can edit your application at any time on your dashboard. However, once registration has been closed, you can no longer make changes. Read through to ensure that there are no mistakes.
Step 5: Join The Hackathon Slack
Once your application is done, join our Hackathon slack so you stay to date before and during the event. This will be our main source of communication, so you’ll want to sign up as soon as possible. Once you click through, you’ll be taken to a page that prompts you to verify your email. Once you’ve verified your email, click the link you receive which will take you to an account creation page. Make an account and then you will be officially signed in to the slack.
